Addition of sedimentary sulfur and carbon along contact zones has also resulted in the localization of sulfide minerals in the Rana intrusion of Norway (Boyd and Mathiesen 1979). Recent isotopic and chemical studies of the Sudbury ores (Rao et al. 1984) also highlight the role of country rock contamination in the genesis of these important deposits.
